The speechsynth and lipsyncing part

The Mipomi language

The Mipos in Puppetmaker have a very limited vocabulary.

Hilarious and narcissisticly they say MI and they say PO. Got me thinking on these childlike syllables, and how to enrich it a bit, but keep it simple and toddlerlike.

It also got me thinking about lipsyncing the animations, and how these syllabels starting with a consonant and ending in a vowel are easiest to string together. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was creating a whole language. (nerd!)

I choose the A, O and I as allowed vowels. and constructed a logic where certain consonant have a certain meaning or context.

ingame

attaching these little syllabels to each other makes more complex meanings possible, its very much an open and tiny language, here is a little glossay to get you going
